Hosokawa Alpine Adds Laboratory Size Unit to its Line of Ball Mills

Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems will be exhibiting the Alpine Horizontal Laboratory Agitated Ball Mill, model AHM at INTERPHEX 2008, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center which is being held in March 26-28th, 2008.
This unit is ideal for the production of micro- batches, the manufacture of nano-particles and the grinding of high purity products. This mill assures reproducibility to a maximum fineness which allows the unit to also serve as a mini-production unit for high-value materials.
The Alpine AHM series of horizontal agitated ball mills ( 7.5 to 315 kW drive) for mini-batch operation is the latest addition to the series of horizontal agitated ball mills. . The mill is installed on a compact machine frame, with a pivoted mount of the grinding unit to permit a number of different positions for easy operation, filling and emptying. Our attention to detail in monobloc designs makes this mill easy to clean and maintain, thus minimizing any chance of product contamination. The use of different length rotors and mill housings makes it possible to convert the 90AHM to 3 differentgrinding chamber volumes of 1100, 500 or 250ccm for operation of standard and mini batches.
