Below is a summary of each trade show and conference we attended in 2018!


Plastics Recycling Conference — Feb. 19-21, 2018

Plastics Recycling 2018 was the focal point for the increasingly complex and international plastics recycling industry. The event brought together plastics re-claimers, equipment manufacturers, brand owners, brokers, government officials, and leading sustainability voices from around the globe to deepen connections and push the sector forward.


PITTCON 2018 — Feb. 26- Mar.1, 2018 

Pittcon is a dynamic global event that offers a unique opportunity to get a hands-on look at the latest innovations and find solutions to all your laboratory challenges. Being a leader in the powder technology world begins in the lab. Hosokawa’s experts believe precise tools and reliable process systems are the foundation for a perfect lab. At 10:30 am and 2:30 pm daily, Hosokawa performed live demos on the Mikro Air Jet Sieve®, model MAJSx and the Micron Labomixer, model LV-1.


North American Frac Sand Conference — Feb. 26-27, 2018

This event was aimed at U.S. and Canadian E&Ps, drilling and well service companies, proppant suppliers, and transportation and railway operators wanting to integrate with North American shale and tight oil industries.


International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) Conference & Expo — Apr. 9-13, 2018

Grain milling professionals consistently find that the IAOM conference experience affords them an opportunity to enhance and advance their careers through comprehensive education programs, to connect with their industry peers at exciting networking events, and to develop relationships with vendors who offer the products and services they need to efficiently do their job.


American Coatings Show — Apr.10-12, 2018

The American Coatings Conference brought industry professionals together to expand their knowledge of the latest technology trends for the coatings industry.


RDD Conference — Apr. 22-26, 2018

Respiratory Drug Delivery (RDD®) is a series of academically organized, international symposiums focusing on the development and commercialization of pulmonary and nasal pharmaceutical products. These conferences are designed for academic, regulatory, and industrial clinicians, scientists, and business professionals involved in the research, development, testing, manufacturing or registration of existing or new therapeutic entities delivered by aerosol systems.


Powder and Bulk Solids Show — Apr. 24-26, 2018

North America’s largest and longest-running powder show reunited the industry in 2018 with its unrivaled conference and expo experience. The largest showcase of processing and bulk material handling suppliers, spanning industries such as food, chemicals, pharma, building materials, metals, and personal care products. The Powder Show has brought the world’s processing and bulk material handling community together to share ideas, deepen industry knowledge and explore the equipment and technologies that drive the industry. 


NPE Plastic Conference — May 7-11, 2018

At NPE 2018, we had the opportunity to test, evaluate, and contrast full-scale, operating equipment right on the show floor. No matter what business or industry you’re in, your entire operation will benefit from the breadth and depth of applied technology presented here. You want innovation? You got it.


Lithium Supply & Market Conference  — June 26-28, 2018

The 10th Anniversary of the Lithium Supply & Markets Conference, where hundreds of members of the global lithium markets connected and learned about future supply and how producers are expanding to meet the boom in demand. As a lithium mill supplier, we were excited to connect with the global lithium market!


IFT Food Expo  — July 15-18, 2018

Hosokawa met with the most creative minds in the science of food and technology at IFT18. We were able to share and be challenged by the latest research,innovative solutions and groundbreaking thinking. The newest products, latest trends, and cutting-edge innovations were displayed at IFT18. We are able to be immersed in the industry’s largest collection of food ingredient, equipment, processing, technology and packaging suppliers, all assembled under one roof, learning what’s next in the science of food. 


Crops and Chemicals USA  — July 23-25, 2018

Hosokawa attended the Crops and Chemicals USA conference in Raleigh, NC. At this conference, we were able to gain the connections we need in order to accelerate our development in these agrochemical products. We are excited to immerse ourselves on the news trends and progress in the industry!


Carbon Black World — September 25-26, 2018

Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems attended the Carbon Black World conference in Dusseldorf, Germany with Hosokawa Alpine, Hosokawa Micron Corporation, and Hosokawa Micron B.V. as the Hosokawa Micron Group. As the Hosokawa Micron Group we were able to network with international delegation of producers, end-users and equipment solution providers from across the tire, rubber, plastics, compounds and ink industries from around the globe.


AAPS  — November 3-7, 2018

Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems attended the AAPS PharmSci 360 in Washington D.C. At this show, we were able to combined all the energy of a large scientific conference with the intimacy of a niche meeting with the overall goal of networking with pharmaceutical scientists to develop products and therapies that improve global health.


Expoplast MontrĂ©al  — November 14-15, 2018

Hosokawa Polymer Systems attended the Expoplast MontrĂ©al show in MontrĂ©al, QuĂ©bec. Expoplast is the only show in MontrĂ©al devoted entirely to plastics. This biennial must-attend event showcases the latest plastics innovations developed by the region’s most cutting-edge producers and suppliers. Our experts connected with exhibitors and discover new solutions and techniques in such fields as: 3D Printing, Injection Molding, Rapid Prototyping, Molds and Dies, Materials and Additives, and Biocompatibility and Thermoforming. Achieve an added edge in improving your products while reducing costs.
