How to operate the Mikro Air Jet Sieve MAJSx-Basic Model

The Mikro Air Jet Sieve™ MAJSx is a highly accurate and reliable particle size analyzer which identifies the particle size distribution of dry powder ranging from 20 µm / # 635 (mesh) to 4,750 µm / # 4 (mesh). The versatile and economical analyzer is used by hundreds of laboratories throughout the world in wide-ranging markets including chemicals, minerals, pharmaceuticals, food, plastics, and cosmetics. It is more economical than a laser diffraction analyzer and more accurate than oscillating or shacking sieving devices. Additionally, the Mikro Air Jet Sieve™ is easy to operate and maintain.

This video offers a quick and easy tutorial on how to operate the Mikro Air Jet Sieve™ MAJSx basic model. First, enter the sieving parameters including pressure and sieving time. Introduce the sample into the sieve and confirm the size of the sieve screen in order to get the correct particle analysis.

Distribute the sample evenly across the screen so all particles are introduced. Then place the lid on top and start. Once the sieving is completed, weigh on the balance to get the percentage of the sample that has passed through the screen or the percentage retained on the screen. An optional cyclone is also available for product recovery.
