Compaction / Granulation / Agglomeration
Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems offers the technical expertise and process know-how to engineer particles to meet the exacting requirements of many applications. We understand that the selection of the proper size enlargement method results in your ability to offer a customer a more valuable product.
Agglomeration is the combining of small powder particles to produce larger particles of a discrete size and shape. After fully defining the properties of the final product, a suitable method of agglomeration can be selected and supplied.
Compaction refers to the compression of powder into a solid form called “flakes”. Compressing the powder into flakes increases the bulk density of the material for the final product. Other benefits of compaction include: good flow properties; particle size distribution can be pre-selected and controlled; dust free processing and consistent results.
