Classification

Hosokawa's classifiers are engineered to meet industry's increasing need for finer particles and more narrow particle size distribution. Our classifiers are designed to consistently produce particle size distributions that are: uniform and homogeneous; spherical and smooth and dry and easily dispersible. Our broad range of classifiers have application in the pharmaceutical, toner, ceramic, metal powders and plastic industries.

Each classifier is designed for easy operation and maintenance. Particle size is easily adjusted by changing rotor speed or airflow and the modular design provides easy access to the classifier's internal components which results in simple product changeover. The unique mechanical design produces high recovery rates of fine particles, up to 90%. The streamlined component design results in lower pressure drop and subsequently leads to lower energy consumption and lower operating costs.
